My name is Stephanie Stathopoulos and I am a Pet Portrait Artist based in Melbourne, Australia with a passion for animals and art. If you would like to own a piece of art that will capture an everlasting memory of your beloved pet I would love to hear from you.

My passion for art started at the age of four, and I have my mum to thank for that. One of my most cherished memories as child was sitting with my mum and brother as she taught us how to draw. From there I found myself experimenting with a range of mediums, immersed in the creative process. My parents and teachers would often find me drawing my own pets, horses and other animals to all of my favourite Disney characters, a result of growing up with dogs and being part of a children’s farm learning to care for animals.

As I matured my art took a turn to drawing portraits of people, from my family to my favourite bands. I really enjoyed focusing on the face, in particular the eyes, as for me they are the soul of the artwork. This learning helped me develop my skills in capturing the personality of animals as we connect with our beloved pets through their eyes. As much as I loved painting and drawing, I also had a passion for makeup artistry. Makeup was a form of art, that to me was like painting on a living canvas.

Upon my completion of high school I undertook a Certificate IV in Design & Certificate in Makeup Artistry. Here was where I crafted my professional skills in Illustration and creating realistic portraits.
